1. Elwes's snowdrop (Galanthus elwesii Hook.f.)
Elwes's snowdrop (Galanthus elwesii Hook.f.) – is a perennial plant fromAmaryllidaceae).
Ephemeroid. It has no stem. The leaves of this species are wide, sometimes up to 2 cm, blue-green. Flower stalks can reach a height of 15-5 cm. Underground shoot – bulb with outer brown and two inner white shells. The flowers are single, hanging, white; the outer leaves of the ovule are reversed-egg-like, the inner ones are elongated-trapezoidal, notched at the apex, with 2 light green spots. The fetus is an egg-shaped or round box.
It grows along ravines and beams, limestone and steppe slopes as part of wood and shrub thickets.
The species is listed in the IUCN Red List and the Red Book of Ukraine.
