|Prunus tenella (Amygdalus nana) –species of plants of theRosaceae family.).
Low, non-growthy deciduous shrub, 0.3-1.5 m high. The branches with shortened twigs are naked, directed upwards, sprawling. The bark on the annual shoots is whitish or reddish-brown, on the perennials – reddish-gray or gray. The leaves are regular, simple, linear-lanceolate, bare, narrowed at the base into a short petiole, sharp, dusty and serrated at the top. The flowers are relatively small, located on short branches, almost seated, blooming at the same time as the leaves. The petals are bright pink, incorrectly elongated-oval. The fruit is a single-seeded drupe covered with hairy felt, whitish-yellowish or straw color. It occurs naturally in the steppes of Eurasia. All parts of the plant are poisonous.
A regionally rare species in Ukraine. Listed on the Regional Red List of Mykolaiv region.
