1. Stipa ucrainica (Stipa ucrainica P.A.Smirn.) 

Stipa ucrainica (Stipa ucrainica) - is a perennial plant of thePoaceae family,one of the most typical grains of the Ukrainian steppes. 

A herbaceous plant that forms dense turf up to 10 cm wide. The stems are 30-70 cm high, numerous, bare. The leaves are bristly-shaped, folded, thinly pointed on the apex. The inflorescence is a narrow, compressed panicle consisting of 4-7 single-flowered spikelets. The flowers are inconspicuous, bisexual, with bacillus, composed of scales. The fruit is a narrow grain with hairs. Anti-erosion, forage, ornamental plant.

Listed in the Red Book of Ukraine in the status of "Invaluable". Endemic of the Northern Black Sea Coast.
